Privacy Policy

Last updated August 6, 2026·Operated by Sroush, based in Norway

CalculatorPOP.com ("the Site," "we," "us") is built, written, and maintained by one individual, Sroush, operating independently from Norway. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit, why, on what legal basis, and what you can do about it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Who Is Responsible for Your Data

The data controller for the purposes of the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act is Sroush, an individual based in Norway, reachable at contact@calculatorpop.com. The Site is not operated by a registered company, and no Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as the scale of processing does not require one.

What the Calculators Themselves Collect

Nothing. Every calculator on this Site runs entirely in your browser. The height, weight, age, budget, or any other value you type is used to produce a result on your own device and is never transmitted to, logged by, or stored on our servers. There is no account system, no newsletter, and no login.

The Contact Form

If you use the form on our Contact page, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent through Web3Forms, a form delivery service, which forwards them to us as an email. We use that information solely to read and reply to your message. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not shared with anyone else. The legal basis is your consent, given by choosing to send the message (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), and messages are kept in the inbox only as long as needed to deal with them. You can email us instead at any time if you would rather not use the form.

Analytics

The Site uses Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and roughly where visitors come from. Ahrefs Web Analytics is a privacy-focused, cookieless tool: it does not set cookies, does not use browser fingerprinting, does not track you across other websites, and does not build an advertising profile of you. It records aggregated, non-identifying information such as page URL, referrer, approximate country, device type, and browser.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in understanding how the Site is used so it can be improved. The vendor's own policy is at ahrefs.com/privacy.

Server and Hosting Logs

Our hosting provider and content delivery network automatically record basic technical information for security, abuse prevention, and performance purposes, including IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested. This is standard infrastructure-level logging rather than something we actively collect or review, it is not linked to any profile, and it is kept only for the short default periods those providers apply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure and available.

Advertising

The Site is free to use and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are shown a consent notice before any personalised advertising cookies are set. Personalised advertising is served only where you have given consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the same notice. Withdrawing consent does not remove ads, it means you are shown non-personalised ads instead.

Cookies

The Site sets no cookies of its own, and our analytics provider sets none either. The cookies you may encounter here come from Google and its advertising partners, as described above, and from the consent tool that remembers your advertising preference so you are not asked again on every page.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop the calculators from working, since none of them depend on cookies.

International Transfers

Some of the providers described above, Google in particular, are based in or transfer data to the United States. Where personal data leaves the EEA, those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data Retention

We do not maintain a database of visitors, so there is nothing on our side to retain. Analytics data is held in aggregate by our analytics provider, hosting logs are kept only for the short default periods our infrastructure providers apply, and advertising data is retained by Google in line with its own policies.

Links to Other Websites

Articles on the Site link to external sources, including government and public health bodies, research papers, and manufacturer documentation. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of any third-party website reached through these links, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so it can be removed.

Your Rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest, and the right to data portability. Because we do not operate accounts or store personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data generally need to go to Google directly, and we will point you in the right direction if you ask.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Norway that is the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no). To exercise any of these rights, email contact@calculatorpop.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if a new analytics or advertising provider is introduced. Changes take effect as soon as the updated policy is posted here, and the date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
